It my normal day to day activities, I seem to piss a lot of people off. Score one for Microdot. However, some reaaaaaally get pissed off and take it personally. Score ten for Microdot.
I’ve discussed this topic quite often, but it never ceases to amaze me. The human psyche is a funny thing, but, regardless of how much people insist otherwise, is the most predictable thing in the world. Certain peoples reactions to situations can almost be foretold with exact certainty, with very minimal examination of their recent history.
These people really give me a kick. Not only is it fun for me to sit back and watch, but they offer a certain entertainment value for all. Sort of a “class idiot” if you will. You know the kinds i’m talking about….. the people that literally become irate… they grit their teeth… pound their fist… and all over something that they have no control over, and cant do a god damned thing about. There are a few steps to the process however. At first, they will play it off. nothing is wrong, they are cool and collected, and you suggesting that they are upset, is met with immediate defiance. As things progress, it starts to eat at them until they are outwardly affected and show signs of being upset. most time, inside, they are a boiling kettle. This is what i refer to, as the sweet spot. Sometimes, it takes nothing at all, quite literally, to progress this person into stage three. But, should you be a stigma of evil, it only takes a nudge… maybe a word or two… to get this type of person well past stage 3. Stage three is the kicking, screaming, pounding fist on the dashboard, teary eyed lunatic phase. This phase holds the entertainment value i spoke of before. It is here, that their true colors shine for all to see.
I really enjoy the cover up though… its interesting to watch and see how things transpire, and the internet holds a certain level of cloaking that isn’t there in the real world. A person can actually be in stage three, and quite visibly so to some, but insist to those that were not there or privy to the aforementioned, that they are still in stage 1, or that absolutely nothing is wrong. This is sometimes followed with a massive amount of ass-kissing, or rallying for support against the common foe.
Being the pinnacle of hate and disgust, i get to see a lot of this. almost daily. Some of it, I might trigger, but most times, i don’t even have to say a word. for those that do not deal with it as much… a word of wisdom… there is always one common strand amongst this type of person: they will always hang themselves. All you need to do, is sit back, and supply the rope. make sure they have plenty. You don’t have to go out of your way, and certainly don’t have to instigate an issue or push for a reaction at all. Most times, your mere presence is enough to insight fury.
oh… and try to control your laughter throughout the ordeal. Laughing is an instant fuel to the flame. you don’t want to burn out the fire in seconds…. let it smolder.
